'Urithi' is the
Kiswahili world for inheritance or heritage. It is also the name of a local
organization that helps to renovate and conserve Tanga's beautiful
historical buildings.
Urithi recently held an Art competition for local schools in Tanga.
Many local schools entered and the standard of work was extremely high.
Nina in grade four was
awarded second place for her watercolour of Tanga Municipal library.
Abdillahi from grade six came third in his age group for his watercolour of
the Mosque.
