School Calendar
Tanga International School operates a school year of about 190 teaching days
similar to that of Europe or North America, beginning in late August and
continuing until the beginning of July. The school year is divided into three
terms, with a short break in the middle of the first term. The early childhood
students begin school at 8:00 a.m. and finish at 12:00 p.m. The school day
begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. for Grades 1 to 6. All parents are provided with
a detailed calendar of holidays and after school activities each term.
Although the usual time for admission of new students is in August at the
beginning of the school year, it is possible to admit students at other times if
space permits.
