Morogoro

On Saturday 1st April six schools travelled to Morogoro for a fun football tournament and swimming gala. In the morning, students from each school were combined in the mini football tournament.

In the afternoon all schools competed against each other in a swimming gala. Tanga International School was by far the smallest competing school and did exceptionally well to gain 18 medal positions. Our team had the youngest swimmers with some students competing against swimmers 4 years older than themselves!

Students from our school amazed and surprised everyone with a 1st place position in the Under 14 boys freestyle relay. An incredible feat when you consider that the boys were competing with older students selected from the significantly larger international schools from Dar es Salaam and Arusha.

We are especially proud of our Individual Medley winners who both swam over half a kilometre in other events and still went on to compete in the 100m IM and finish in a medal position.

Well done to all involved!
