Students in the upper
primary class completed a unit of inquiry that focused on world religions. The
unit of work allowed students to explore the beliefs of six major faiths.
The central idea of the unit was 'All human societies have beliefs and value
systems.'
It was an inquiry into:
-
the major beliefs
-
festivals
-
places of worship
-
symbols and figures behind the world's major
religions
-
why religions exist
-
why people belong/don’t belong to a religion
-
similarities and differences
To conclude this project and as part of the
final assessment, students presented an exhibition of the work they had done
to parents and students. |
